Those
who live here, know. Once you move to Austin, you never leave. That's
because there is so much to do. People are constantly discovering
new places to hang out, new bands to see, and new groups to meet
with.
This
site is a reference to help discover what may be your next favorite
Austin Experience. By no means do we plan to replicate the hard
work done by local web sites with the same goal. In fact, I'll supply
a list of links to sites that keep track of local events, news,
etc. This can be your starting point.
AustinExperience
is produced by Jason Massey. The purpose of the site is two fold.
First and foremost, it is to share information about some of the
interesting things that people can do around Austin. That may include
soaking in the rays at Barton Springs Pool or checking out a local
band that has a lot of promise. I also want to provide information
about organizations that will either enhance your experience living
in Austin or enhance the lives of others living here. Hopefully,
they can do both.
The
second purpose of this site is to provide a real forum where I can
continue to learn and experiment with online media. My occupation
requires that I produce mostly print based materials. I am working
to move toward an electronic medium. As I learn, the pages contained
within this site will continue to improve. Some of the pages were
created while taking an Introduction to HTML course through ACC.
They were coded by hand using Notepad. You'll probably be able to
figure out which pages they are.
Your
feedback and tips are appreciated. Send me an email
if you find anything that needs improvement, updating, etc.
The
site is created using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, and Macromedia
Dreamweaver. I hope to include some Flash content soon.

AustinExperience.com
is hosted by Netfirms.

We
began using the free web hosting, and then upgraded to the banner
free hosting for only $60 a year. This is incredibly cheap, and
it has been hassle free. If you plan to start your own website,
I highly recommend Netfirms.
