Austin: Where the Music Never Ends

Austin, Texas is known nationwide as “The Live Music Capital of the World.” There are more than 1,900 bands, music artists all around the city and music festivals year round. They don’t offer just one type of music. Austin gives folks blues, indie rock, country, jazz and more. Over 200 live music venues draw in tourists to Austin yearly. No one can deny it; Austin has a very strong musical tradition. If you go to Austin, you will find live music anywhere. The main attraction for music is on Sixth Street, but there are several clubs throughout Austin known for live music.
If you are visiting Austin, you should check out Sixth Street, the Red River and Warehouse Districts for the most popular live music. Many clubs in Austin are recognized for their live music: Antone’s, La Zona Rosa, the Cactus Cafe, Stubb’s and Emo’s are just a few. Don’t miss out on the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival in September. The ACL Music festival takes place at Zilker Park, and has over 130 artists performing plus activities, food and fun. Austin is home to the well-known South by Southwest film; a film about music conferences and festivals. There is so much magic to the live music of Austin.
